Disability Support Services

Disability support services across Newcastle & the Hunter

Altitude Support Services provides flexible, participant-centred disability support at home and in the community across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock and Raymond Terrace. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants who want practical support, greater independence and more opportunities to take part in everyday life.

Support is shaped around the person rather than a standard program. That can mean help with daily routines, getting out into the community, attending appointments, pursuing interests, building skills or simply having reliable one-to-one support that fits the participant’s preferences.

Where we provide disability support

Altitude supports participants across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Lower Hunter, Cessnock and the Hunter Valley, and Raymond Terrace, subject to worker availability and the support requested.

How we approach support

We start with the participant’s goals, preferences and everyday routine. We then discuss practical details such as days and times, the type of assistance required, interests, communication preferences and worker matching. Where we have capacity, we work towards a support arrangement that is clear, practical and genuinely useful.

Funding

Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcome. If you are unsure whether a particular support can be paid from your plan, your plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIS can help you confirm how your individual funding may be used.

Frequently asked questions

What type of disability support do you provide?

Our services include community access, in-home support, daily living assistance, individual support, skill development, transport-supported community activities and social participation.

Can support be built around my interests and routine?

Yes. We aim to shape support around what the participant actually wants help with, the things they enjoy and the goals they are working towards.

Can a family member or support coordinator enquire?

Yes. Participants, families, carers and support coordinators can contact us. The participant’s preferences and consent remain central to any arrangement.
